I bid on a guitar on Ebay. It was a white Strat. I forget what year it was. I won the bid but in talking with the seller she told me it was made in China. China has never made Fender branded guitars. Only Squire guitars. So I was skeptical at this point but had already bid. I was hoping I lost but I did not. So I made my case to ebay as I saved the communications that I had with the seller. They banned me for not honoring the bid for a year I think. I quit selling on Ebay after that. It had to have had Fender neck put on a Squire. Ebay didn't want to hear it.

Very well articulated. Once Gibson turned from instrument making to trademark trollery and lawfare - right after I'd bought my first actual Gibson and was looking at another - I dropped them. Have not bought another Gibson or anything from the Gibson empire since. I've bought a couple Fenders since and just bought my first PRS, another Peavey guitar and a bass, a Cort Artisan bass and a few Ibanez basses, and several Squiers, IYVs, and older Japanese guitars, and I've not missed Gibson. I'm hoping that Cesar turns it around. Gibson's whole ad campaign reminds me on Revco's ill-thought-out campaign built around singing "You need all the Revco you can get!" It's like taking a shot at the king; if a company is going to insist that customers need them rather than vice versa, they had damn sure better be right 'cause customers don't like to be told we have to buy from a particular company.

I've had Taylors. I have a Taylor GS no electrics. The biggest body Taylor there is., not made anymore its 2006.dreat guitar but it has developed very High pitched ring tones coming frome somewhere when strumming chords or single note strings. Always the same high pitch overtones. In addition to the 6 notes of each string . But super High. Very annoying . Tried changing everything one at a time, even tape under the strings at the saddle and nut. Makes you not want to strum a chord on it now . Shame because it was an expensive guitar. Have you heard of this problem on other acoustic guitars before. Any ideas how to resolve this. It wasn't always there before. God bless from australia

Eh buddy, do you considered yourself better than Ritchie Sambora? Who the hell are you but another clown with a youtube channel...so stop making comparison. Another thing, do not trash a guitar brand based on a second hand instrument you bought. To all people watching this video, the first thing you should know about buying an instrument is that you should never buy a guitar before you play with it. To your 50k subscribers, never ever listen to a pseudo guitar player that look like an inbreed lumberjack from the depth of Arkansas. I own a Takamine and they are great guitars....solid, reliable, well build and with a first class pickup that doesn't feedback when you play live.

335's are one of those guitars where it takes me 10 to 15 guitars to find one that I like. They're weird, they either fit me well or not at all. When you get a good one, they're the most versatile guitar in my stable. I currently have 5 and zero plans to part with any of them. If i don't bond with it right away, I walk away. I'm a Blues player and these were built for that genre imo. I throw Seth Lovers in mine and do 50's wiring. Just straight up Blues machines. I like em with a lot of love on em. If it's too shiny it ain't been loved enough for me. I need the ones with the built in MOJO.

I have an early 80s all mahogany top, back and sides dreadnought Augustino, which is the name of the company Augie used in Clearwater in the 80s for a few years before reverting back to LoPrinzi. It is a big beefy guitar, and fun to strum. It sounds very nice. I have the same issue with the action and have not done a neck reset yet, but I will eventually. Right now it is playable with Silk and Steel strings.

Back in 1973, my cousin and I went to see an old guy in the Santa Cruz mountains who had a Gibson for sale. It turned out to be a cherry red 1961 ES-345. The old guy gave my cousin a break because $400 because it was all he had. It was truly a fretless wonder, and it played like butter. I was broken hearted to find out that he sold it 20 years later for an eight ball of cocaine without offering to sell it to me first. 😢

Nice buy bro. I play blues. I would love to see you play some Allman Bros stuff on that beauty. Trogoly's channel just did a review of a early 2000's ES-335. You could find out some good history on ES -335 Production and serial numbers from his video. Good luck with your 335 bro. Looks like you got a good one for the 'Good Guy' price.

Larrivees are some of the greatest value guitars on the used market. Multiple times I’ve played every acoustic in a respectable vintage shop and found that this or that sub-$2k Larrivee was the best sounding of the lot. I’ve sadly never had my hands on an OG gitfiddle from the early days of the workshop though. Larrivee also apprenticed a lot of now-legends back in the day, like Sergei De Jonge.

Jeremy, I am going to have to disagree with you on the bridge. All of Bourgeois high end guitars have a shiny bridge. Maybe that is where Eastman got the idea years ago? Every high end Bourgeois i have played has a shiny bridge. I own a Bourgeois oms DB signature AT Adirondack 12 fret and it has a shiny bridge. I think you are just use to Martin bridges being satin finished. With that said I am missing your more frequent videos and I hope you and your family are doing well.

Although the factory Bixby meant it would not stay in tune for more than a couple of songs, I wish I still had it as I think I only paid $300 for it.

I love the mahogany growl. I have 3 acoustics with mahogany back and sides. But I'd like to have 1 with rosewood back and sides. Just for different sound and a little more versatility. But every time I listen to comparison videos I like the mahogany one. D18 over D28 and so on.
